Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information SKYBOT handles, why we use it, how it is shared and protected, and the choices available to you.

1. Who we are and when this policy applies

SKYBOT supports school rainwater collection programs. SKYBOT is operated by Meetta. In this policy, “SKYBOT,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Meetta as the operator of the SKYBOT application and its related services.

This policy applies to the SKYBOT Android and iOS applications, this website, and the APIs, notifications, storage, and support services used by those applications.

2. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on the SKYBOT features you use. It may include:

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, profile image, authentication provider, account status, and school or organization affiliation.
  • BiTS membership information, such as your position, verification reason, and supporting document information submitted for review.
  • School program information, including water levels, water usage, water-quality measurements, maintenance notes, activities, participant counts, dates, and uploaded images or reports.
  • Community content, including posts, comments, likes, and other content you choose to submit.
  • Support communications, including Stream Chat messages and image, CSV, or PDF attachments sent to the SKYBOT support group.
  • Images you choose to capture with your device camera or select from your photo library for supported SKYBOT features.
  • Notification information, including Expo push tokens, device registrations, and notification preferences.
  • Technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as request metadata, IP address, rate-limit records, error information, and basic device or app details.
  • Information received from Google or Apple when you choose social sign-in, such as the provider account identifier, email address, name, and profile image made available by that provider.

3. How we use information

  • Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and maintain sessions.
  • Connect users with their school and determine access to BiTS member or administrator features.
  • Display school water analytics, activities, worldwide network totals, rankings, and program achievements.
  • Store and deliver content, media, support messages, and requested notifications.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate important service or account information.
  • Detect abuse, enforce rate limits, troubleshoot failures, and improve the reliability and safety of SKYBOT.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect users, schools, SKYBOT, and the public.

4. Google user data

When you choose Continue with Google, SKYBOT uses the Google identity token to authenticate you and may receive your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile image. We use that information only to create or identify your SKYBOT account, maintain your session, display your profile, and provide the features you request.

We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not transfer it to third parties except service providers that help us operate SKYBOT, when you direct us to do so, or when disclosure is required for security or legal compliance.

5. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. School activities, water data, rankings, and community content may be visible to other authenticated SKYBOT users. Support messages are visible to the user who opened the support group and the SKYBOT administrators participating in that group.

Some uploaded images and files are delivered through shareable or public storage URLs. Although SKYBOT presents this content in the intended application context, a person who obtains one of these URLs may be able to access the file without signing in. Do not upload information that should not be shared with the relevant school or SKYBOT audience.

We use service providers to host and operate SKYBOT, including Expo/EAS, Neon/Postgres, Supabase Storage, Stream Chat, Google, Apple, Resend, Upstash, and push-notification delivery providers. They may process information only as needed to provide services to SKYBOT or as otherwise permitted by law. We require providers handling personal information for us to apply protections consistent with this policy and applicable law, and we remain responsible for selecting and overseeing the services used by SKYBOT.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate fraud or security issues, enforce our terms, or protect someone from harm. Information may also be transferred as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, or transfer of the SKYBOT service, subject to appropriate protections.

6. Storage and retention

Information may be processed and stored in countries where SKYBOT or its service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection rules different from the rules where you live.

We retain account and feature data while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide SKYBOT. Retention periods vary by data type and may also depend on legitimate school-program recordkeeping, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal requirements.

After information is deleted from active systems, limited copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups are overwritten or deleted under the applicable provider's schedule. We restrict retained information to the purpose requiring retention and delete or anonymize it when that purpose ends.

7. Your choices and rights

  • You may update supported profile information and notification preferences in the application.
  • Camera and photo-library access is requested only when you choose a feature that captures or selects an image. You can deny or revoke camera, photo-library, and notification permissions through your device settings, although related features may stop working.
  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required by law or legitimate school recordkeeping obligations.
  • You may initiate account deletion from Account Settings in the SKYBOT app or visit https://skybot-auth.vercel.app/data-deletion. You may also contact info@mail.meetta.org if you cannot access your account or have questions about an organization-managed account.

8. Children and school-managed use

SKYBOT may be used in school communities, but it is not intended for independent use by a child without the involvement of a parent, guardian, school, or other authorized organization. The responsible adult or organization must provide any notice, supervision, authorization, or consent required by applicable law before creating or managing a child's access or submitting personal information about a child.

If you believe personal information about a child was provided without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and address the request.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated API access, role and organization checks, encrypted network transport, and restricted server credentials. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when SKYBOT, our providers, or applicable requirements change. We will update the date shown above and may provide an additional notice when a change is material.

11. Contact us

Questions, privacy requests, and account-deletion requests may be sent to info@mail.meetta.org.
